If you’re from Cecil County, you’ve probably heard the name Vlamis—and for good reason. This family-owned gem has been serving our community for generations!
It all started back in 1946, when Anthony Vlamis Sr. began pouring beers for locals at the Victory Restaurant. Fast forward to 1968, the family opened Vlamis Cut Rate Liquors in downtown Elkton, eventually moving to their well-known home at the corner of Route 213 & Route 279 in 1974.
Today, the tradition continues with Nick & Peggy Vlamis, and day-to-day operations proudly run by their grandson, Anthony II. And they haven’t stopped growing!
